Richard Convicer Honored by Tax Insitute
The Federal Tax Institute of New England will recognize Attorney Richard G. Convicer with its achievement award for his service to clients and the Bar and to the development of sound tax law at the Institute’s Luncheon on September 28. Attorney Convicer was selected for his successful dealings with tax controversies and litigation with the Internal Revenue Service and Connecticut’s Department of Revenue Services, and helping to secure Connecticut’s enactment of a limited liability company statute.Attorney Convicer is a long-time member of the CBA Tax Section’s Executive Committee. He chaired the Tax Section’s LLC Subcommittee which authored and monitored passage of the Connecticut Limited Liability Company Act.
He is the co-author of Connecticut Limited Liability Companies: Forms and Practice Manual, a resource for lawyers and accountants regarding the LLC structure. Attorney Convicer has spent years mentoring and educating members of the Bar as co-chair of the CLE Committee of the Tax Section, and is a frequent speaker before the Bar, accountants, and other business and professional groups. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
